Music Supervisor

Howard began his US career as a Los Angeles based club promoter/ DJ working with such bands as The Specials, The Clash, The Go Gos, Berlin, The Cure, The Bangles, Echo & The Bunnymen Lydia Lunch, Ministry . He went on to become Vice President Soundtracks Mercury/Polygram where he executive produced a number of soundtracks (credits below) as well as placing numerous songs in films & TV shows. He then joined Richard Branson’s V2 Records as Head of Film & TV where he worked closely with artists such as Moby and Underworld, until 1999 when he became an independent supervisor. He continued to work with Moby whose “play" CD has become the first in history to have media placement for all tracks. He now works with a number of artists who create music for visual media including Carlos D of Interpol and Warren Fischer of Fischerspooner.

Howard was nominated for a Grammy in 2003 for the DOGTOWN AND Z BOYS soundtrack. In 2008 he worked on WHILE SHE WAS OUT starring Kim Basinger and Lucas Haas; AUGUST starring Josh Harnett and Naomi Harris and THE RAMEN GIRL starring Brittney Murphy. Among the soundtracks executive produced as VP Soundtracks/Mercury Records, are THE BIG LEBOWSKI, Gregg Araki’s NOWHERE, TURBO: A POWER RANGERS MOVIE, CAT’S DON’T DANCE, GIRLS TOWN and TALES FROM THE CRYPT: BORDELLO OF BLOOD.
